What is nParticle?
nParticles is a particle generation system that uses Maya® Nucleus™ dynamic simulation framework. Use nParticles to create numerous types of effects such as fire, smoke, iquids, and instanced geometry.
How do you change the particle shape in Maya?
Change particle render type
- Select the particle object.
- In the Render Attributes section of the Attribute Editor, select the type from the Particle Render Type pop-up menu.
What is particle dynamics in Maya?
nParticles is a particle generation system that uses Maya® Nucleus™, the same dynamic simulation framework that generates nCloth simulations. An nParticle object can collide and interact with other nParticle objects, as well as with nCloth and passive collision objects.
What are the different types of particle in Maya?
In Maya, there are two types of particles: hardware rendered and software rendered.
How do you make a model fire in Maya?
- Do one of the following: Select the object or CVs, edit points, vertices, or particles that you want to emit fire.
- Select Effects > Fire > .
- Set attributes in the Create Fire Effect Options window. and click Create.
- Play the animation.
- Add a light to the scene and software render to see the fire.
What is N stands for in Nparticles?
An nParticle object can collide and interact with other nParticle objects, as well as with nCloth and passive collision objects. For collisions to occur, all participating objects must be assigned to the same Nucleus solver (nucleus node).
What is nCloth in Maya?
nCloth is a fast and stable dynamic cloth solution that uses a system of linked particles to simulate a wide variety of dynamic polygon surfaces. For example, nCloth is flexible enough to simulate all the following surfaces: fabric clothing, inflating balloons, shattering surfaces, and deformable objects.
