It’s not as hard as you think. Sure, it may be longer than you’ve ever ridden before, but if you’re like me, your training rides were 50 to 60 miles without any significant break. In that sense, STP is easier than a training ride, since STP has a rest area every 15 miles or so.

How do I become a better cyclist?
Ride with others, take a cycling skills class, join a club like Cascade Bicycle Club on it’s Free Group Rides or join the Cascade Training Series (CTS) to learn the language of group cycling. Don’t ride as hard as you can on every training ride. This is the most common rookie mistake!
