Can any transmission fit any engine?
In theory: yes. A custom adapter plate can theoretically allow any engine to match up to another transmission. However if you mismatch the power ratings of the two (massive V8 to a manual transmission of a 90’s Civic) you’re likely to shred the transmission very quickly.

The role of the adapter plate in a vehicle is to mate together your Monster transmission and the engine. This allows them to work together in order to operate your vehicle as it should run. It generally appears as a plate of flat metal.
Can you put any transmission fluid in a car?
Yes, even a manual needs transmission fluid. The type of fluid can vary from car to car, however. Some manuals require conventional engine oil, and others function best with automatic transmission fluid. So make sure you’re putting in the fluid that’s specified for your car.
Can you swap engines in car mechanic simulator?
At Car Mechanic Simulator 2021, you can swap the engine and modify it with other engines that are available to swap. It is a modification i.e. allowed once you have purchased Garage Expansion and Engine Tools.
Is engine swapping legal?
An engine change involves swapping a car engine with another that is not identical, under California law. The state insists that the newly-installed block must be the same age or newer than the one coming out of the car. Car owners must submit their car for inspection after an engine change takes place.

How thick should a transmission adapter be?
1/2″ aluminum is strong enough, but most use 3/4″ to 1″. Some require 4″ spacing just to make the coupler fit. Depends on motor and car being converted and desired coupler. A lot of FWD transaxles don’t use a pilot bushing, on the end of the input shaft, as it is supported at one end and the center.
