What is OC preparation?
Opportunity Classes (OC) are classes in selected government primary schools for gifted and talented Year 5-6 students. To apply for Year 5 placement in the following year, Year 4 parents must submit an application (usually around May) and have their child sit the placement test (usually around July).
How do I study for the OC test?
Preparation for the exam does not have to take up a lot of time; we recommend about 1 hour of practice questions a day to foster a consistent study habit. For the Mathematics component, building upon and solidifying the foundations of addition, subtraction, division and multiplication is a must.

How is OC test score calculated?
The calculated placement score is a mark out of 300. The calculated placement score is made up of: moderated school assessment scores for English and mathematics. scaled test marks for English = 2/3 of the scaled reading test marks + 1/3 of the scaled writing test marks.

How long is the OC test?
Students have 40 minutes to complete the test. The questions are all multiple choice.
What is the chance of getting into OC?
