Can you be scammed on Kickstarter?
Kickstarter has quickly become one of the premier crowdfunding platforms on the internet. However, Kickstarter unfortunately has also given scammers and fraudsters a new potential untapped reserve of money to trick people out like none other before it.
How do I complain to Kickstarter?
To report a backer, head to the bottom of the project page and click “Report this project to Kickstarter”. This will provide you with the option to “Report spam or abusive behavior”. If you are the project creator, you can report a backer by clicking the “Report” button on the backer’s comment.
Can I refund on Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is not a store and we do not issue refunds. When you back a project, you’re supporting a creator’s right to try to make something new—and agreeing to go along for the ride.
Can you contact Kickstarter?
Click on the creator’s profile name. Scroll to the bottom of the creator bio page. Click the blue “Contact me” button to send them a message via Kickstarter.
How do I cancel a Kickstarter payment?
While a project is still live you can cancel your pledge by visiting the project page and clicking the “Manage your pledge” button on the right-hand side. From there, click “Cancel Pledge” next to the “Change your pledge” link. Remember, a pledge can only be cancelled while a project is live.
Can I pay Kickstarter with PayPal?
We do not currently support PayPal as a payment or account set up method. In order to pledge towards a project on Kickstarter, backers must enter a valid credit or debit card onto our site.
Does Kickstarter refund money?

Can I get my money back from Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is a platform that connects creators with their backers, and it doesn’t hold funds. That means that Kickstarter can’t issue refunds. Your only option is to request a refund directly from the creator in question if the project funding is already completed.
Do you get money back if Kickstarter fails?
If a Kickstarter project fails, no money is collected from the backers. Their credit cards are not charged unless the project is 100% funded. If you mean what happens if your reward isn’t delivered, you have recourse available through introducing a civil court case.
