Can you wild camp on Lindisfarne?
There is no overnight camping on the island. Whilst you can take a camper van onto Lindisfarne, no overnight parking is allowed. There are camper van sites on the mainland side of the causeway at Beal Farm and Brock Mill Farm (which also has a selection of self-catering cottages).
Is there a cash machine on Holy Island?
There is no ATM/cash machine on Holy Island, but you can withdraw cash at the Post Office (see below). That said, most places will take payment by card as well, and certainly the pubs and cafes.
Can you park overnight on Holy Island?
Overnight parking is not allowed, though you can pay for 72 hour parking*, which will also be valid at Station Yard (Seahouses), Craster, Newton Steads (High Newton by the sea) and Low Newton . If you are staying overnight, your accommodation provider will advise you where to park.

My wife and I visited Holy Island in October and decided to stay overnight. We stopped in a b&b and would recommend it. We arrived on the island mid afternoon and for once the weather was warm and sunny. You have to watch the tides getting on and off the island theres still quite a few people that get caught out.

How long does it take to walk around Holy Island?

It takes about two hours to walk to the Island from the Causeway. Ideally set off two hours before low tide – walking with the outgoing tide rather the rising tide. The Pilgrims route is about three miles long. Do not attempt to cross at dusk or in poor weather conditions.
