Are ASIC registration fees deductible?

What happens if I don’t pay my ASIC fees?
If the company continues to refrain from paying the annual review fee, as well as any applicable late fees within 12 months of the due date, ASIC may proceed to deregister the company.
Does ASIC annual fee have GST?
We collect a range of fees from companies and other entities under Commonwealth laws. This includes company registration fees and annual review fees. ASIC fees are not subject to GST.
Are ASIC fees GST free or bas excluded?
Government charges: GST is not included in land tax, council rates, water rates, ASIC filing fees or insurance stamp duty. Purchases that are GST free: Items such as basic foods, overseas exports and some health services are GST free.
How much do I owe ASIC?
You need to be registered for online access before you can check your account balance. Once you’ve logged in, select ‘View company details’ from the left hand side. You can then select ‘Debtor details’, which will show the total amount due.
Can a late fee be waived?
It’s always worth it to call your card issuer and request waiver of the late fee. Many issuers are flexible about this, especially if you haven’t been late in the past. Generally, though, most credit card issuers are willing to waive fees once as a courtesy. Just don’t make it a habit.

The most common late fee amount is between $50 and $100. As you’re setting your late fee amount, keep in mind there may be state or local laws that limit how much you can charge. We recommend doing some research to find out if your state or city has laws that limit your late fee amount.
