Is Sony coming out with a new VR?
The next-generation VR headset from Sony will work exclusively with the PS5 and follow in the footsteps of the original PlayStation VR, which launched back in 2016. In a post on the PlayStation Blog in early 2021, Sony announced that its new PSVR system is in development, reaffirming the brand’s commitment to VR.

Is the PSVR 2 coming out?
When will PSVR 2 be released? Sony may have confirmed that it’s working on the PSVR 2 headset, but don’t expect to see it in stores any time before 2022.
Is PS5 coming out with VR?
Sony has confirmed that the PSVR 2 will be a PS5-exclusive release and will debut after 2021 with some exciting new technologies in tow. If you’ve ever played or owned an original PSVR, you’ll know that, while it’s a great overall experience, there are certainly some improvements that can be made.
Is the PSVR discontinued?
In short, it doesn’t look like the original PSVR has been discontinued by Sony just yet. It is still available to buy brand new, either as a standalone headset or within a bundle.
Can you use oculus on ps5?
In short, no. There’s no real way of getting the Rift to connect to the PS5, or even your PS4 unfortunately, that is natively, anyway. If you’re desperate to try it out, you can utilise the Virtual Desktop app for Rift & Rift S, or if you’ve got a Quest 2, Oculus have an official app for this purpose.
Does Oculus 2 work with PS4?
Officially, the Quest 2 is not compatible with either the PS4 or the PS5. With Sony confirming the release of their own PSVR 2 headset in 2022, this shouldn’t really come as a surprise. Sony would clearly much prefer that people use their VR headset, rather than that of a 3rd party.
